



Sessions
We have a number of fun-packed sessions planned. So whether your child loves being creative and arty, or if you are wondering how to entertain your artist during the holidays or after school, we are bound to have something for you. All of the sessions that we have planned are shown below.

Sea Horse Art Journal After School Art Classes
Mondays 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th June and 6th July or Tuesdays 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th June and 7th July | 4:15pm to 5:45pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
In this 5 week set of after school art classes, the children will study sea horses, looking at the shape, texture, and using a range of mediums to create different sea horses.
This is for children aged 6 to 10 years old. It is £50 per child. All sessions must be booked in advance and booked as a set.

Savannah Lion Art Class
Tuesday 28th July | 9:30am to 11:30am | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
The children will create a sunset background using soft pastels. To create the lion they are going to use currogated card for the mane to learn about textures.
Examples of Techniques used: Soft pastel blending and tearing and screwing up materials to create texture.
Examples of Media used: Oil pastels and wax crayons.
This is for children aged 5 to 10 years old. It is £14 per child. All sessions must be booked in advance.

Neon Lion Painting Next Level Art Class
Thursday 30th July | 9:30am to 12pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
We are stepping up the skill level at this class, and the children will explore colour on black card. They will also learn how to draw the face and use neon paints.
Examples of Techniques used: Drawing and painting skills, and experimenting with colour.
Examples of Media used: Neon poster paints and colouring pencils.
This is for children aged 8 to 13 years old. It is £25 per child. All sessions must be booked in advance.

Circus Lion Art Class
Tuesday 4th August | 9:30am to 11:30am | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
The children will create a lion in the big top arena at the circus. To create the lion, they will explore using unusual colours and shapes to create the mane.
Examples of Techniques used: Shading with oil pastels and stamping with inks.
Examples of Media used: Colouring pens, pencils, and metallic inks.

Layered Lion Next Level Art Class
Thursday 6th August | 9:30am to 12pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
We are stepping up the skill level at this class, and creating the background using stencils, stamps, and ink. The lion will be created using 3 stamped images cut up, and then layered to create a 3D effect.
Examples of Techniques used: Colouring using ink pads and blending tools, and colouring and layering die cuts.
Examples of Media used: Different types of ink pads, stamps, and stencils.
This is for children aged 8 to 13 years old. It is £25 per child. All sessions must be booked in advance.

Jungle Lion Art Class
Tuesday 11th August | 9:30am to 11:30am | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
The children will create a jungle background using a stamping technique using watercolour pens. To create the lion they use strips of shades of brown card, and layer them up to create the mane.
Examples of Techniques used: Layering using stamping and card, and shading with oil pastels.
Examples of Media used: Watercolour pens and oil pastels.
This is for children aged 5 to 10 years old. It is £14 per child. All sessions must be booked in advance.

Flower Lion Next Level Art Class
Thursday 13th August | 9:30am to 12pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
We are stepping up the skill level at this class, and learning how to draw half of the lions face, and using shading for depth. We are also using flower stamps to create a cascade of flowers coming down the other side of the face.
Examples of Techniques used: Stamping and masking with stamps, and using water colour inks to create the flowers.
Examples of Media used: Watercolour inks, colouring pencils, and sparkle pens.

Fantasy Lion Art Class
Tuesday 18th August | 9:30am to 11:30am | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
The children will create a fantasy jungle background with 3D flowers, spiral vines and rainbow bugs. To create the lion they will paint a rainbow mane using watercolour paints.
Examples of Techniques used: Tearing paper card for texture, and 3D layers to create the flowers.
Examples of Media used: Watercolour paints, soft pastels, and white gel pen.

Roar Lion Next Level Art Class
Thursday 20th August | 9:30am to 12pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
We are stepping up the skill level at this class, and creating the background using orange and yellow inks, building the layers with stamps, stencils, and doodling. The lion will be coloured using colouring pencils and learning how to blend colours together.
Examples of Techniques used: Stamping and stencilling, colour and blending.
Examples of Media used: Watercolour paints, inks, colouring pencils, and Posca pen.

Lion Family Portrait Art Class
Tuesday 25th August | 9:30am to 11:30am | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
The children will create 3 lions to create the portrait, using different techniques including using a fork with paint to create the male lions mane texture. The background will have fine details of gold swirls and leaves.
Examples of Techniques used: Layering to create 3D effects, and blending with oil pastels.
Examples of Media used: Poster paint, oil pastels and gold metallic gel pens.

Water Colour Lion Painting Next Level Art Class
Thursday 27th August | 9:30am to 12pm | Art Adventurers Cabin. Flitwick
We are stepping up the skill level at this class, and learning how to draw half of the lions face using fragmented shapes. Then adding colour in layers starting with a matte watercolour paint, then colouring pencil, and a metallic watercolour paint. Finishing with adding shading to create the finished 3D look.
Examples of Techniques used: Mixing and layering coloured media, and shading to add depth.
Examples of Media used: Colouring pencils, watercolour paints, and graphite.
